About House-Call
Q. HOW DOES HOUSE CALL GROOMING WORK? A. Once we set up a time and date and I receive rabies and distemper paperwork, it is time for grooming! I will bring all the tools and equipment I need to bathe, dry and groom your dog.
Q. IS MY HOME A GOOD FIT FOR HOUSE CALLS? A. More than likely! I require a small space to set up my grooming table and warm running water. If you have a larger dog I would prefer if you had a tub or long walk-in shower. A portable tub can be provided if necessary. A shower or even the sink will do. It is my job to adapt to your environment. Please ask questions.
Q. CAN I CHECK IN ON MY PET? A. 1000%, especially during the bathing process. Once scissors start to get involved I just ask that give your pet and me enough space for us to focus on each other.
Q. WHAT ABOUT CLEAN UP? ISN'T DOG GROOMING MESSY? A. I will bring my vacuum and any cleaning supplies I need to leave your home, for the most part, the same way I found it. Please, make sure the space is clear of any trash, spills, clothes, or any miscellaneous items that may get in the way of cleanup.
I will take before and after pictures (kept in a private folder). I will ask if can upload your pet's photo.

AGREEMENT
Clients are required to maintain a schedule of 8 weeks or less to remain on the pre-booked schedule for salon and house-call grooming.
VACCINATION REQUIREMENT
All dogs 4 months or older must be vaccinated against rabies and distemper by a licensed vet, as per state law. Proof must be sent via text or email to harnessthewolf@yahoo.com before your grooming appointment.If your appointment is scheduled after your pet’s vaccine expiry date, updated documentation is needed prior to the appointment. Failure to provide proof in advance will result in rescheduling/canceling your appointment, and a non-negotiable cancellation fee equal to the full appointment cost will be charged.
CANCELATION & RESCHEDULING
You will receive a text reminder a week before your appointment. Please reply with Y to confirm or call/text to cancel. If not confirmed within 72 hours, another reminder will be sent. Failure to confirm 48 hours prior will result in appointment cancellation and a fee. Rescheduling must be done within 48 hours to avoid fees. Cancellations/rescheduling within 48 hours require a nonrefundable deposit. Same-day cancellations will incur a nonrefundable fee unless for emergencies. Legitimate emergencies waive cancellation fees. Pets showing symptoms within 24 hours or medical emergencies excuse cancellations. Repeat offenders may be refused service.
CARD ON FILE
Your punctuality and keeping up-to-date vaccinations are crucial and required by law. We no longer contact vets for records, so please ensure you bring them or send them to us. If your records are not current, we will have to send you home. Please be prepared with your pet’s vaccination records and keep them accessible. If in doubt, send a copy anyway—we’d much rather be safe. Irregularities due to last-minute changes or no-shows are disruptive. Kindly provide at least 48 hours (2 days) notice for reschedules or cancellations. We kindly request your cooperation with our policies to ensure smooth transactions. Please keep your card details on file in our secure server to save time and ensure payments for no-shows, as we also have bills to pay.
PAYMENTS
Any pricing given over the phone or by email or new client application is an estimate. Pricing may vary by appointment based on your pet’s coat condition, temperament, or time the groom takes. Pricing quoted does NOT include state sales taxes. Pricing is subject change; we will try to give notice for price increases when possible. Payment is due upon service completion. Deposits required for repeat offenders. Cash, debit/credit cards, or Apple Pay accepted. No checks, money orders, or IOUs. Prices non-negotiable. Non-payment will result in legal action and additional fees.
WEIGHT RESTRICTION
I do not groom pets over 65 lbs. Existing clients with pets heavier than 65 lbs. who have remained on a reoccurring schedule with me have been exempted from this new policy and have been properly notified. Existing clients with pets who may gain weight over time and exceed 65 lbs. I will be reevaluated on a case-by-case basis whether services will be continued.
LIVE FLEAS & TICK POLICY
I do not groom pets with live fleas or ticks. If your pet arrives for their appointment with live fleas and or ticks your appointment will be canceled and charged at a full price scheduled with an additional fee for parasite control. I take the safety of my pets, and my client's pets' health very seriously, and will not be flexible on this policy. I thoroughly disinfect my workstation between clients to ensure contamination does not occur.House-Call appointments are an estimated arrival window. We do not guarantee specific appointment times and we may arrive anytime within the given window. If we need to move your appointment to a time outside the given window, you will receive a notification.
LATCH KEY SERVICES
ALL latch-key clients MUST have a valid Card on File in the event they forget to leave payment or cancellation fee applies to your appointment. We highly recommend crating dogs before latch-key services. Pets MUST be in an easily accessible area and all bedroom doors must be closed. Groomer MUST be able to safely enter and exit the home without the pet attempting to escape, lunge, bite etc. Client is responsible for any damage or injury caused by improperly contained pet. We will only look/attempt to capture your pet for 10 minutes, if we cannot access the pet after that, we will have to charge a cancellation fee and rescheduled the appointment.
HEALTH CONDITIONS
It is the pet owners’ responsibility to provide a healthy and groomable pet. Any known preexisting conditions MUST be disclosed prior to grooming. Harness the Wolf is not liable for clipper irritation, minor knicks/scratches or skin irritation from grooming. Harness the Wolf is held harmless from damages, loss or claims arising from any known or unknown preexisting condition of my pet.
TEMPERAMENT
By agreeing to our polices you are agreeing that to the best of your knowledge your pet does not have any behavioral issues such as: Biting, snapping, growling, scratching or any form of aggressive behavior towards a human. Pet owners are responsible for any damage inflicted by their pet to either the salon, stylist or equipment. Injuries from a dog bite MUST be reported to Animal Control Services. Pet owners are financially responsible for any and all medical bills and treatments if the groomer is injured by their pet. Any aggressive pets will be returned to their owner immediately and full payment will be due.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Photos and/or video may be taken of your pet before, during or after their grooming session for use on Harness the Wolf LLC’s social media pages and other marketing purposes. OFF-LEASH- For liability reasons, your dog will never be let off leash for any reason, except for a medical emergency.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
In the best interest of both your dog and Harness the Wolf, walks longer than 15 minutes will not occur if the temperature is below 35F or above 85F or high winds or heavy rain or snow prevent normal walking conditions. In the event of inclement weather, the session will be rescheduled.
